Terms of Service

Welcome to Lauda. By creating an account or using our app, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Account

• You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to use Lauda
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure
• One account per person; sharing accounts is not permitted
• You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account

2. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Upload or process content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, defamatory, or violates anyone's rights
• Use Lauda to record people without their consent where such consent is legally required
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code
• Use automated tools to scrape, abuse rate limits, or overload our services
• Resell or redistribute Lauda's features without our written permission
• Impersonate other users or misrepresent your identity

3. Subscription & Billing

• Lauda Premium is offered via monthly or annual subscription through Google Play / App Store billing
• A 7-day free trial is offered to new premium subscribers — cancel anytime during the trial at no charge
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
• Refunds are handled by Google/Apple per their respective store policies
• We may change pricing with 30 days' notice; existing subscriptions are honoured at the original price until renewal

4. AI-Generated Content

Lauda uses large language models and voice synthesis to generate transcripts, translations, lessons, stories, and audio. AI output can contain errors, omissions, or biased phrasing.

• Do not rely on AI output for critical decisions (legal, medical, financial) without independent verification
• Translations may not be perfect; for legal or commercial use, consult a professional translator
• Generated stories and lesson content are for learning purposes only

5. Content Ownership

• You own the content you upload (audio, text, documents)
• You grant us a limited license to process your content solely to deliver the features you requested
• We do not use your private content to train AI models for other users
• AI-generated output (transcripts, translations, lessons) belongs to you, subject to the underlying model providers' terms (OpenAI, ElevenLabs)

6. Service Availability

We strive for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may schedule maintenance, change features, or temporarily restrict access without prior notice when necessary for security or stability.

7. Disclaimers

Lauda is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lauda Studio's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (or US$50, whichever is greater).

9. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law
• On termination, your data is removed per our Privacy Policy

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Lauda Studio is registered. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
